GEOGRAPHY
 BEAUTIFUL FEET'S GEOGRAPHY
  THROUGH LITERATURE
 - Looking for an easy way to introduce your child to Geography?!  You will absolutely love Beautiful Feet's Geography Through Literature!!!  My children have loved this hands on course.  It's so simple to use. So fun for the kids.  As you read through Holling Clancy Hollings books your children learn geography effortlessly, history and lore. Holling has a gift of weaving a neat story around learning areas of the US and simple history information.  Your children are so engrossed in the great read aloud book - that they don't realize they've been educated in a very significant way.   By using the maps that come with the course - your children will have a blast coloring in states, making rivers, labeling cities, and adding in other bits of information.   The maps are made of very heavy paper.  And these would be beautiful mounted- when completed.
Books used in the course:

Minn of the Mississippi -learn history of the Mississippi River Valley as told through the adventures of Minn, a snapping turtle, as she travels hundreds of miles downstream.  The fascinating world of the river; bayous, steamboats, river pirates, flatboats, and keelboats, French and spanish explorers, plantations, floods, and Mark Twain is all here excitedly related.
